Lessons & Training

Sir Bowie

We invite riders from the ages of 6 thru adults and are excepting new students.

Kubicki Eventing wants to create an environment for people who have the same passion for horses as we do.
We strive to create good principles of horsemanship and sportsmanship, which are one in the same. It is of great importance to us that we strengthen these principles in our students. They also learn skills that stretch far beyond just riding the horse. We teach how to properly care for and “feel” for their horses. Horses depend on us!

By teaching young children, we have an influence not only on their riding skills, but on their life as well. Our dedication is geared towards safety, building confidence and strong, well-balanced riders. These three important skills will spur them on to achieving their goals!

At Kubicki Eventing you can be sure that correct riding and good horsemanship will be the heart of each and every lesson!

Meet the Instructors

Paula Kubicki
Paula and her horse Mojito.
Paula has over 15 years experience in training, teaching and running large boarding facilities. As a USDF Bronze Medalist, she couples the fine art of dressage training into the world of eventing. She continues her personal training with regular intensive week long training sessions with Grand Prix Jumper Helmut Schrant. Her focus is to instill in each of her students to “ride every stride with a smile!”In 2010, Paula won the USDF Regional Championships in Open Training Level with Mojito RH. What an awesome first year out!Accomplishments:

  • USDF Bronze Medalist
  • USDF All Breeds and High Score Awards
  • USDF Regional Championship Winner
Nikki Caudill
Nikki was certified as an instructor for both Western and English riders with the CHA in April of 2011. She began competing in dressage and eventing with her first win at the Kentucky Classic Horse Trials with a Kubicki school master, Sir Bowie in 2006. They went on to finish 4th in USEA area 8 in 2007 at the Beginner Novice Level and finished 3rd in USEA area 8 in 2008. She qualified for the National Eventing Championships 2 consecutive years. Bowie continues to be a top-level competitor in both Dressage and Eventing with our students.Nikki’s new riding partner is an OTTB, Norman aka Paranormal Experience. They have been concentrating the last 12 months on dressage and won many grand champion titles in walk/trot at a USDF winter dressage series in 2009-2010, finishing as Reserve Champions for the series. They are looking forward to a growing partnership as they climb the levels together.Nikki is very patient and has a talent for teaching young riders while developing their horsemanship skills. She began working as an instructor and caretaker for Kubicki’s over ten years ago. She is a true asset to our beginner/intermediate lesson program.Tim Shaw our Natural Horsemanship Trainer

Tim has been working on his horsemanship for the past 25 years and over the last 15 he has been concentrating on colt starting and working with “troubled” horses. The most common question he is asked, when working with a horse, is how long will it take. His answer is, “The horse doesn’t wear a watch and neither does he. It takes as long as it takes!” There is not set time to get it done.
Tim has a passion for problem solving and helping people increase their ability to communicate with their horses. He feels it is very important to work with the riders as well as the horse, so they have the tools to continue training when he is not there.
